- Part of
- Public sector, Transport
Information request and response under the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004.
You asked for:
How much has been spent on repairing trunk roads in each local authority area in each of the past three years.
How many repair works have been carried out on trunk roads in each local authority area in each of the past three years?
What was the average length of time taken to complete repair work across Scotland, and how many jobs in each local authority area lasted longer the average?
You clarified this request on 19 July 2019, reducing the scope of the request to Trunk Roads in Angus.
I have numbered your request for ease of reference
1. The table below provides the total figure for repairs to the A90 Trunk Road in Angus :
|2019/20 - To end of June||£1,001,389|
2. The following table provides infomation on the number of Category 1 defects which have been repaired on the A90 Trunk Road in Angus:
|Year||Total defects repaired|
|2019 to date||85|
The A92 is the responsibility of Angus Council.
3. You also asked for the average length of time taken to complete repair work across Scotland, and how many jobs in each local authority area lasted longer the average. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we do not have the information you have requested. Therefore we are refusing your request under the exception at regulation 10(4)(a) of the EIRs. The reasons why that exception applies is that due to the variety of works undertaken it isn’t possible to provide this information.
However average repair times for Category 1 and 2 repairs can be found on our website at the following link: https://www.transport.gov.scot/media/44436/frequently-asked-questions-about-the-scottish-trunk-road-network-january-2019.pdf
