Meetings with members of a foreign Government regarding Social Security Agency: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

You requested the following information:

Has any (a) Scottish Government officials and (b) Scottish Government Ministers had any meetings or conversations with members of a foreign Government regarding the creation of a Social Security Agency and the implementation of benefits between January and March 2018?

Response

All of the information you have requested is available on the Scottish Government website (https://www.gov.scot/publications/ministerial-engagements-travel-and-gifts-january-2018/) and under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you.

However, you will want to note that whilst it is a nil for Scottish Government officials, there were two meetings held by the former Minister for Social Security, Ms Freeman, with members of the Irish government in Dublin in January 2018.
