Social Security Scotland - Internal audit work summary: FOI review

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

I have now completed my review of our response to your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA) dated 20 May 2019 which you clarified as being for “a summary of the audit activity that has been completed or ongoing or requested -  listing areas being audited and what they are being audited for, and the progress being made...” noting that you were “not looking for the audit reports but a list of the reports produced following on from any audit work would be useful.”

Response

I have concluded that a different decision should be substituted.

In reaching my decision I considered the relevant information which was collated and the exemptions and public interest test which were applied. Some information was exempted from disclosure in the original response under Section 30(b)(i) and Section 30(c) of FOISA.

I have decided on review that releasing the information requested is not likely to inhibit the free and frank provision of advice or prejudice substantially the effective conduct of public affairs.

As such I include with this response the information requested outlining the completed, planned and in-progress audit activity within Social Security Scotland.
