Information requested
You asked for any records/notes of the amount of overtime done by staff at Social Security Scotland and how much time that amounts to.
Response
Social Security Scotland was established as an Executive Agency of the Scottish Government on 1st September 2018. Social Security Scotland staff are employed under Scottish Government Main Terms and Conditions, follow Scottish Government rules in relation to overtime, and associated allowances and use online Scottish Government systems to claim and record overtime.
Since the Agency was established on the 1 September 2018, up to and including the 30th of April 2019 the total number of overtime hours worked was 2,381 hours and 52 minutes.
To provide some context, based on the average headcount for the period this equates to an indicative average of 7.5 hours of overtime per staff member over the 8 month period, it provided an additional 4.9% of capacity supporting operational delivery.
