Replacement cost of the entire road system in Scotland: FOI release

Would you please give me the replacement cost at current prices, including the cost of land purchase, of the entire road system in Scotland?

The Road system in Scotland can be considered as comprising 32 individual areas which are looked after by the 32 Local Authorities and The Trunk Road Network. 

The information that you requested for the Roads network that is the responsibility of Local Authorities is not held centrally by Transport Scotland or the Scottish Government.  To obtain the information, you will need to approach each local authority for this information.

The latest audited value of the Trunk Road Network, in Gross Replacement Terms can be found in the Transport Scotland Annual Accounts for 2017-18.  This can be found at the following URL:

The Gross Replacement Value of the Network on the 31-03-2018 was £23.485bn.
