Scottish Government tier 2 and 5 sponsorship visas - non EU employees: FOI release

Information requested

 

Information regarding whether or not the Scottish Government does tier 2 / tier 5 sponsorship visas for non EU employees.  If so what does this cost the Scottish Government yearly and how many and what sort of jobs are filled.

The Scottish Government does sponsor successful non EU applicants for our posts, to enable them to apply for Tier 2 and Tier 5 visas.  We have sponsored successful applicants for positions across the Scottish Governments core Directorates and our Agencies for a variety of posts.

We have  a responsibility to our staff and their right to privacy. Due to the small number of individuals involved it is likely that staff could be identified, therefore we cannot disclose actual numbers.

We  pay for each certificate of sponsorship:
