A75 at Springholm, vehicles ignoring the red lights when triggered: FOI release

Information requested

 

I wish to know of the vehicles travelling on the A75 at Springholm, specifically how many of the vehicles ignored the red lights when they were triggered?

I wish to request a list of all the information that is being collated in relation to the current attitude lights that are in place on the A75 at Springholm.

Under regulation 6(1)(b) of the EIRs, we do not have to give you information which is already publicly available and easily accessible to you in another form or format. 

 

In response to your second request, the following is a list of the information that is recorded for monitoring purposes and is collated when required for Transport Scotland business needs. 

  • Mean speed and 85th percentile speed data at four monitoring sites;
  • The number of times the traffic signals have been activated;
  • The number of vehicles which have ran through a red traffic signal;
  • Trunk road injury accident data.
