Any polls or surveys conducted by Ipsos Mori for the Scottish Government in October 2018. You requested the information to include the questions in the poll/survey, and if possible, the results of the poll/survey.

In response to your request, overall, there were four surveys/poll undertaken by Ipsos Mori on behalf of Scottish Government which were taking place during October 2018. The information provided below includes details as requested. Where possible a link to the questionnaire and/or data have been provided.

Project name: Scottish Crime and Justice Survey (SCJS)

Background to project: The SCJS is a large-scale social survey which asks people about their experiences and perceptions of crime. The survey is delivered on behalf of the Scottish Government by a consortium of Ipsos MORI and Scotcen and has been in the field continuously since April 2016.  Further background information can be found online at: https://www2.gov.scot/Topics/Statistics/Browse/Crime-Justice/crime-and-justice-survey

Status during October 2018: Fieldwork

Project name: Scottish Household Survey (SHS)

Background to project: The SHS is designed to help the Scottish Government and other bodies to plan services and policies for Scotland. To do this Scottish Government needs accurate, up-to-date information about the characteristics, attitudes and behaviour of people living in Scotland. The survey covers a range of topics, including what kind of housing people live in, who lives in the household, what people do for a living, how people travel and levels of education amongst other topics. The SHS is a continuous survey which runs every month and has done since 1999.

Project name: Scottish Schools Adolescence Lifestyle and Substance Use Survey (SALSUS)

Background to project: The Scottish Schools Adolescent Lifestyle and Substance Use Survey (SALSUS) is part of an important and long established series of national surveys on smoking, drinking and drug use. The survey is conducted on a biennial basis, targeting secondary school pupils in local authority and independent schools. Status during October 2018: The Scottish Government has commissioned Ipsos MORI to conduct the 2018 wave of SALSUS. For the current wave of research, the fieldwork takes place between November 2018 and January 2019. During October 2108, schools were recruited to participate.

Project name: Survey of the Economic Conditions of Crofting 2015 – 2018.

Background to project: Survey to understand crofting conductions in Scotland.

Status during October 2018: On fieldwork

Questionnaire: The questionnaire used for this project can be found below.

Data: Data is currently not yet available. The final report will be laid before Parliament on 18th December 2018 and will be published either later that day or on the following day (19th December 2018).
