Number of people arrested and tried or convicted under the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2012, between 19th of Jan 2012 and 19th Apr 2018 - had hired or were in possession of their own legal representation

Scottish Government does not hold data on the number of people who hired or self-represented themselves in the court. This may be available from the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Services. 

Scottish Government does not hold data on the number of arrests – this may be available from Police Scotland (foi@scotland.pnn.police.uk).

The number of people proceeded and convicted under the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2012 is available under Section 7: People convincted by offence group of the Criminal Proceedings in Scotland 2016-17 publication, available at https://www.gov.scot/publications/criminal-proceedings-scotland-2016-17/ 

The Criminal Proceedings in Scotland 2017-18 will be published in late January 2019.
