Information requested
Can you tell me under Freedom of Information legislation how many incidents the police or yourselves have recorded on this section of road in the past two years? Can you tell me what measures have been taken in the last two years to make the surface better?
Response
In response to your request, we have provided data for the section of the A82 (approx 650m north of the Inveruglas visitor centre access), extending for a distance of approximately 450m north/ east.
Annex A which details how many accidents have recorded on this section of road in the past two years. Please note we have given you accident stats from 1st January 2016 to 24th April 2018 as this is the latest information that has been made available to us from Police Scotland. Annex B details the incidents.
Resurfacing works were carried out on sections of this site in 2016. In addition, slippery road signs have been erected as a precaution whilst detailed pavement and skid resistance testing is being undertaken.
