Thank you for your request for passenger footfall on the Borders Railway Line and bus statistics prior to the reopening of the line, and up to the current day, that service the towns and villages along the Borders Railway.

Passenger footfall on the Borders Railway Line
The patronage figures below do not include Borders services which run between Glenrothes with Thornton (in Fife), and Tweedbank, as this is reported separately.

The Scottish Government does not hold this information, this is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested. Although, this information may be held by the Local Authority Councils who operate the bus services in that area. This information may sit with either Edinburgh Council or Scottish Borders Council.
