Please see below the answers to your questions:
1. Finance? – Oracle e-Business Suite.
2. HR? – HR servies are provided to DS by the Scottish Government.
3. Payroll? – Payroll services are provided to DS by the Scottish Government.
4. Project? – JIIRA/Confluence MS Project.
5. CRM? – DS does not use any CRM tooling.
6. Manufacturing? – Not applicable.
7. Sourcing? – Not applicable.
8. Invoice Scanning Tool? – Not applicable.
9. Are you using Config Snapshot? - No.
10. What BI Tool are you using? – SAP Business Intelligence.
11. What versions of the above Applications are you running? – Version numbers omitted as they are handled as UK RESTRICTED information and not made public.
12. When was your last Application upgrade? – The last major upgrade for SAP BI was performed between April 2015 and March 2016. The last major version change for EBS was around 2011 with the last point released upgrade around 2015.
13. Are you planning another upgrade in the next 12-18 months? - No.
14. Do you have an Oracle support partner for applications? If so who? – Yes. BT backed with a standard Oracle support contract.
15. Do you have an SAP support partner for applications? If so who? – No. In-house support team.
16. What kind of support is included in the contract/s (functional/technical/etc.?) – BT manage our bespoke application. Oracle provide software updates and off-site support services.
17. What is the value of the SAP application support contract and when does it end? – None in place.
18. What is the value of the Oracle application support contract and when does it end? - £6,327.69 per annum. The support contract expires on 31 March 2019.
19. When does the SAP and/or Oracle contracts expire? – see above.
20. Are you running any Oracle Databases, if so what versions are you running? – Yes. Version numbers omitted as they are handled as UK RESTRICTED information and not made public.
21. Are you running any SAP Databases if so what versions are you running? - No.
22. What applications are being run on these Databases? – SAP BO/BI, HP OpenView, Bespoke and Oracle Middleware: BPM, EBS, OSB, OID.
23. Are you planning another Database upgrade in the next 12-18 months? - No.
24. Do you have an Oracle support partner for Databases? If so who? – Yes. BR backed with a standard Oracle support contract.
25. Do you have an SAP support partner for Databases? If so who? - No.
26. What is the value of the database support contract for SAP and when does it expire? – Not applicable.
27. What is the value of the database support contract for Oracle and when does it expire? – Oracle middleware licenses are procured via ULA agreement between Oracle and the Scottish Government. DS have no visibility of the overall costs.
28. Where are the databases held? Hosted, onsite/offsite? – Hosted in UK datacentres. Either at DS/SG sites or main service supplier sites.
29. If not, how many in-house DBAs do you have? – DBAs provided as part of a BT shared service team. Currently the equivalent of 3 FTEs.
30. Where do you advertise any Oracle procurement opportunities? – As per Question 29.
31. Who is responsible for looking after the contract for the Oracle and/or SAP estate? – BT is primarily. DS/SG for core Oracle databases.
32. Who is responsible for looking after the licenses for the Oracle and/or SAP estate? – BT is primarily. DS/SG for core Oracle databases.
33. How much do you pay annually for Oracle Support & Maintenance and when does it renew? – DS share of the Core database licenses costs is £342.649.85 these are perpetual licenses.
34. How much do you pay annually for SAP Support & Maintenance and when does it renew? – Not applicable.
35. Do you work with off-shore partners? – No. Sub-contractors work on-shore.
