Tackling Child Poverty Delivery plan 2018 to 2022: FOI Release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

FOI reference: FOI/18/01275
Date received: 2 May 2018
Date responded: 17 May 2018

Information requested

All correspondence (including e-mails and minutes of relevant meetings) between the Scottish Government and the eleven organisations listed as being consulted in reference to the Tackling Child Poverty Delivery Plan 2018-2022.

Response

I attach a copy of the information you requested.

This includes engagement summaries, where available, for the British Deaf Association, People First, Radiant and Brighter, BEMIS, Scottish Refugee Council, British Red Cross, LGBT Youth, Contact, and Interfaith Scotland.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because exemptions under the following sections of FOISA apply to that information:

Section 38(1)(b) – applicant has asked for personal data of a third party.

Reasons for not providing information

An exemption under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA (personal information) applies to some of the information requested because it is the personal data of a third party, ie the names and contact information for officials are their own personal details, and disclosing this information would contravene the data protection principles in Schedule 1 to the Data Protection Act 1998.This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
