Response
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government is only able to provide some of the information you have requested. The table below provides for the total number of Registrations for landlords, joint owners, agents, and properties registered with Aberdeen City Council in the private rented sector at 31st Dec on each year, from 2012 to 2016.
Year | Total number of Registrations (a) | Total no of registered properties |
---|---|---|
2012 | 12886 | 18249 |
2013 | 16364 | 19160 |
2014 | 18133 | 20949 |
2015 | 19151 | 22252 |
2016 | 19659 | 23011 |
2017 (b) | 19636 | 23034 |
(a) This figure includes Principle landlords, Joint owners and those acting as Agents for landlords.
(b) 2017 data ends in January 31 st 2017.
With regard to the information for 2017, following the re-launch of the Landlord Registration System in February 2017 it is not possible to obtain accurate figures while we currently operate across both the legacy IT system and the new platform. This introduces duplicate counting from the active registrations in the legacy system and the registrations brought onto the new system via landlord applications and updates. We foresee that this issue will remain until the bulk migration is complete with all the active registrations contained within the new system. We hope to complete the bulk migration over summer 2018.
