Strategic Board's advice on the economy: FOI release

Information requested

Details of any advice offered by the Strategic Board to the Scottish Government to deliver growth in the economy.

Response

The Strategic Board has now met on three occasions, and under normal circumstances meets every two months at locations around Scotland. Minutes of these meetings are published, once approved by the Board, at the web page detailed above.

The Board is working on the development of a Strategic Plan, to be published later this year, that will provide the strategic direction behind which the enterprise and skills agencies will align their activities in order to maximise the effect of public investment.

As this work is currently in its early stages, the Board is not yet in a position to offer formal advice to Ministers on delivering growth in the economy, and so no information is available.
