Does the SG budget for pilots of Universal Basic Income include any provision for additional funding to councils over and above £250,000?

Response

In the 2017-18 Programme for Government (PfG), the Scottish Government made a commitment to provide support to four pilot authorities in their exploration of the Citizens Basic Income concept.A fund of £250,000 is available for the four local authorities to bid into, covering a two year period from April 2018 to March 2020. The funding is to support feasibility work and will be made available on the basis of a short business case, setting out how the money will be spent. No provision has been made for additional funding over and above £250,000.
