Information requested

1. The number of decisions on appeals against the decision of local authority planning committees/authorities planning made by reporters appointed by Scottish Ministers in each of the past 5 complete financial years:

• 2012 - 2013
• 2013 - 2014
• 2014 - 2015
• 2015 - 2016
• 2016 - 2017
• 2017 - 2018

2. In each of these years how many decisions contradicted decisions made by local authority planning committee/authority.

Response

1.& 2.The attached spreadsheet details the number of decisions on valid planning permission appeals and how many of those appeals were allowed for each of the past 5 complete financial years. The 2017-2018 year is to date as we have not yet reached the end of the financial year. I have also provided individual spreadsheets for each financial year which detail the appeal references. We publish all of our appeals on our website, https://www.dpea.scotland.gov.uk/, a copy of all of the decisions relating to the listed appeals can be viewed using the Search function should you wish to read the reporter's reasoning for each decision.
