Out of the 509 that are registered, [with the Scottish Infected Blood Support Scheme] can I ask how many of those are directly infected? How many of the 509 are recognised as infected?

Response

The answer to your question is 455 of the 509 people registered with the Scottish Infected Blood Support Scheme are people who were infected with hepatitis C and/or HIV. 443 were infected via NHS blood or blood products and 12 acquired the infection from someone who was infected via NHS blood or blood products.
