Information requested

'I would like to request information under the Freedom of Information Act. I would like a copy of all correspondence relating to my previous FoI request sent on 27 November 2017 of the reference FoI/17/02869 and the appeal of the response to this FoI sent on 21 December 2017. The original FoI regarded information relating to public funds supporting companies involved in the arms trade since 2007/8.'

Response

Please be advised that an error was made when answering a previous Parliamentary question. The documentation held within this response shows that Highland and Islands Enterprise (HIE) released £161,238 to companies involved in the defence sector in 2016/17. We have now received clarification from HIE that this figure is incorrect and an amendment to reflect this has been issued to Parliament. I can confirm that the correct figure is £61,238 as stated in the previous FoI response. Please accept my apology for any confusion this may have caused.
