Can you please provide a list of all applications received by Transport Scotland for approval of Non-Prescribed signs over the past 5 years?
Please indicate the signs/markings applied for, the location and the applying authority.
Please indicate which applications were granted and which have been refused.
Please confirm how many applications have been received for each of the previous 5 years and how many of these have been approved/rejected.
Can you please confirm if there are any plans for making such information readily available online such is done by your helpful colleagues in England?: http://www.dft.gov.uk/traffic-auths/

I attach a list of all applications for Non-Prescribed signs received by Transport Scotland for the last 5 years. The list shows the signs/markings applied for, the location and the applying authority. It also shows which applications have been approved and which have been refused.
Applications received are broken down by year as requested below:-
2012 – 29 applications received, of those 27 were approved and 2 were refused.
2013 – 24 applications received, of those 17 were approved and 7 were refused.
2014 – 60 applications were received, of those none were refused.
2015 – 45 applications received, of those, 43 were approved and 2 were refused
2016 – 25 applications received, of those, 24 were approved and 1 was refused.
2017 – 17 applications received to date, of those, 16 were approved and one is currently pending.
A list of authorisations for Non-Prescribed Signs is on the Transport Scotland website, (see attached link) however there are no plans to make these authorisations available online.
