Items and actions

Glen Sannox – deployment/warranty updates

Vessel performance updates

CalMac confirmed that Glen Sannox continued to operate well. Issues relating to the vibrations have been identified. Fergusons await a suggested sea trails date to resolve the vibrations however CalMac required more resilience within their existing fleet. Calmac requested a clear scope from FMPG on the works required for sea trials. FMPG confirmed discussions were underway and an update would be provided later in the week.

Toilet system blockages remained an issue for Calmac. This impacts the passenger experience onboard. FMPG are working on resolving other impacting factors to support resolution with the blockages. Lessons learned will then be implemented to improve the works required on 802. If the situation begins to worsen, there is an opportunity to resolve for the upcoming sea trials once the date is agreed.

Glen Rosa – delivery and deployment

GR delivery programme update

FMPG issued a letter to the NZET committee stating the delivery date of Glen Rosa to be in Q2 2026 and the additional funds required to deliver the vessel.

A weekly review group has been established with the aim to review the build plan to ensure it is efficient as possible, lessons learned and costings to offer assurances to Scottish Ministers and the public.

FMPG’s delivery plan was discussed with the CEO, project managers and external planners. The meeting was to ensure a final version was ready to present to the review group and that the plan could be baselined.

CalMac required the delivery date to be agreed then work backwards to ensure a crew is resourced for the vessel. CalMac agreed to come back to the group on the amount of time required to resource crew.

CMAL raised the assumption of the vessel being delivered at the beginning of Q2, crew senior ranks such as chief and master are required to be on site early October this year. CMAL agreed to raise at the MV Glen Rosa review group.
