List of shared certificates were shared with CMAL on 03/09. List of manuals were in the process of being printed out. CMAL have received the electronic copies however hard copies would be shared with handover.

Another batch of spares would be ordered for 802 in case needed. CalMac were content. Warehouse space would be discussed post-handover.

A030 
205 compartments as of last week. The 48 compartments to be closed after sea trials – agreed to not let people on to the cabins for extra protection, there were 14 cabins in the 48 compartments. The bridge was now closed off so now 47. The remainder won’t be closed off until after sea trials. 4 of the 68 remaining compartments were closed off last week, a full update will be circulated on 04/09.

Hot topics

Legal advice was required in terms of the contract. A way to fund the vessel was needed, once handover was completed, there would be no funding mechanism for 801 to capitalise costs. A list of warranty items with a value associated was required. A discussion between SCAD and TS colleagues was needed for a route to funding – David Dishon and [REDACTED] would take forward the cost of completion and mechanisms for costs and warranty.

Updated costs for 801 completion were needed for SG.

FMPG agreed to start daily meetings to go through reports on observations with the crew.

SG needed to speak to legal on the future of the contract. A timeline of costs to go, what would be captured before and after handover.

Systems max – 5 pipe systems completed. Accommodation mist, pressure was tested and passed last week. [REDACTED]. LNG supply, FMPG went through snags. [REDACTED] had 8 pipefitters to look at sprinklers in elevators and valves for the fire systems.

Build system, balice trim and healing were completed.

Harbour trials – engines and generators were ran on 30/08 and over the weekend. Engines and generators were expected to be ran again closer to the LNG trails.

Dock trial date – LNG then LNGC trail needed to take place before dock trial. CMAL comfortable when the vessel was ready to go – [REDACTED] and John agreed to discuss further W/C 9th September.

MCA – [REDACTED] scheduled to visit 04/09. Issue with lifts, sprinklers needed to be installed. Lifts wouldn’t be commissioned until next week. Technical concerns raised through CalMac crew with LNG vents, the vents have been approved therefore case was being provided to Lloyds.

Lloyds haven’t signed off on LNG systems, until signed off oil and gas won’t be taken. The system was installed as designed. Knock on affect if not agreed that week. Local surveyor was handling and dealt with the design approval authority. If the system was signed off with no comments, CalMac would feed back. If further concerns were raised, CMAL and FMPG would discuss.

Upgrades to fire protection and date on the processing unit were in hand for Thursday.

Crewing – agreed on crewing manning, new agreement has been provided to  CALMAC. [REDACTED] would come back with names and FMPG would fill the blanks.

Any other business 

Work to go post-delivery – estimator would keep pace with what comes out of the inspections to keep the lists up to date.
