Offshore wind energy - draft updated Sectoral Marine Plan: statement of publication participation
Statement outlining how we will undertake the public consultation on the draft updated Sectoral Marine Plan for Offshore Wind Energy (SMP-OWE).
Introduction
1.1 In 2022, Scottish Ministers committed to updating the existing Sectoral Marine Plan for Offshore Wind Energy (“SMP-OWE”). This Statement of Public Participation (“SPP”) summarises the background to sectoral marine planning and need to update the SMP-OWE, and proposals for engagement as part of the 12-week consultation on the updated Plan.
