Don't risk it: bringing food into Great Britain

Don't risk it. When traveling to Great Britain from abroad, there are restrictions on bringing some items into Scotland, England, or Wales.

Avoid bringing in products such as dairy, fruit, and vegetables, meat or plants, bulbs, and seeds.

These can carry bacteria that can harm local animals or plants. If not properly disposed of, leftover animal products can cause disease in the animals that eat them.

Instead, consider other souvenirs such as postcards and help protect Great British wildlife and livestock.
