All documentation (emails, meeting notes, correspondence with Education Scotland and Registrar of Independent Schools and the Scottish Ministers and Registrar of Independent Schools, reports etc) around the Registrar's recent (October 2022-May 2023) investigation into George Watson's College.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information within these documents you have requested because exemptions under sections 30(b)(i) - free and frank provision of advice and 38(1)(b) - personal information of FOISA applies to that information. One document has been withheld under exemption section 30(c) - otherwise prejudice effective conduct of public affairs. The reasons why these exemptions apply are explained in Annex A attached.
