Guidance for the use of Buvidal for opiate substitution treatment in prisons during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This document offers guidance to assist in the immediate implementation of a new clinically proven method of Opiate Substitution Treatment (OST), Buvidal, to meet patient treatment needs and reduce the burden of daily OST provision in NHS Scotland and Scottish Prison Service during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This protocol relates to a letter from the interim Chief Medical Officer Dr Gregor Smith about the use of OST in prison during the pandemic.
