Information requested
Would it be possible to get an annual breakdown of all the accidents involving e-scooters than have taken place from 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 so far?
Response
Thank you for your request about collisions involving e-scooters. The following tables show the number of collisions involving e-scooters and the casualties resulting from these collisions, by severity for 2021, 2022 and as at May 2023. Please note that the figures for 2023 are provisional as they are based on monthly returns received thus far from Police Scotland in 2023, with the most recent returns being received on 10th May 2023. This may be an incomplete picture of casualties up to that date due to a slight lag between records processed by Police Scotland and data availability. These figures are also subject to change due to subsequent corrections and late records.
