First Minister congratulates Gordon Reid
Reid claims Wimbledon's men's wheelchair titles.
Congratulating Gordon Reid on his win in the Wimbledon’s Men’s Wheelchair Singles Final, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said:
“I’m delighted for Gordon Reid who won the men’s Wheelchair Singles Final earlier this afternoon, adding this title to his doubles victory yesterday with partner Alfie Hewitt. 2016 has been a fantastic year for Gordon – making it to the singles final of three grand slam tournaments and claiming victory in both Australia and at Wimbledon.
“He should be rightly proud of his success and I look forward to seeing what more Gordon achieves in the coming year and beyond.”
