Tackling Child Poverty Delivery Plan 2026-2031: External Reference Group
Overview
The group was established in February 2025 and will continue until March 2026.
Its purpose includes:
- leveraging wider networks and stakeholders to support consensus around the actions which should be contained in the tackling child poverty delivery plan as well as assisting the Scottish Government (SG) in ensuring that the engagement work to support the next plan is transparent and comprehensive
- leveraging existing networks, knowledge and expertise to ensure the engagement process includes meaningful engagement with people with lived experience, including children and young people
- supporting the SG to ensure the next tacking child poverty delivery plan properly takes account of the needs of those affected by child poverty and appropriately considers issues around intersectionality of need
