Infrastructure Investment Board

Overview

We established the Infrastructure Investment Board (IIB) in November 2010 to take an executive role in infrastructure governance, working alongside individual portfolio investment boards.

The Infrastructure Investment Board provides strategic oversight and assurance of the systems, structures and processes which support infrastructure investment with the aim of:

  1. developing and promoting a clear strategic vision for public infrastructure in Scotland
  2. ensuring the right processes are in place and followed to support a high-level of confidence in investment decision making and infrastructure delivery in the Scottish Government
  3. promoting capacity building in DG ‘hubs’ and beyond to support the infrastructure portfolio management approach

The IIB meets four times a year, in February, May, August and October.
