Equally Safe Ministerial Group
Overview
The Equally Safe Ministerial Group (ESMG) forms a key part of the governance structure, supporting the implementation of Equally Safe.
Established by the Minister for Victims and Community Safety in 2023, the group brings together Ministers from across portfolios to drive cross-government commitment to both Equally Safe and its delivery.
Meeting bi-annually, the ESMG contributes to strengthening accountability and reinforces Ministerial responsibility for progressing work to prevent and respond to VAWG.
Members
Membership of the Group reflects current Scottish Government Cabinet and Ministerial portfolios. As such, membership is subject to change in line with any future changes to Ministerial responsibilities or Cabinet composition.
