COVID Inquiries Response Engagement Group (CIREG)

Overview

This group was established in November 2025 to support our work in responding to recommendations from the UK COVID-19 Inquiry’s Module 2 report.

Members include representatives of groups disproportionately impacted by the pandemic and some of those furthest from government decision-making, so that those views can be taken into account in developing our response.

This group is chaired by the Deputy First Minister and its first official meeting took place on 10 December 2025.
