Carers Act Implementation Steering Group

Overview

The Carers Act Implementation Steering Group (ISG) brings together the main delivery partners, including local authorities, health boards, integration join boards, COSLA, third and private sectors, carer organisations, and other organisations who have an interest in, and a role to play, in the successful implementation of the Carers Act.

The ISG has developed a national plan for implementing the Carers Act, and members are using their influence to support delivery of that plan.

Separate working groups were established with a focus on specific sections of the Act. These groups have fed into the work of the ISG and the development of regulations and guidance.
