Burial and cremation: Alkaline Hydrolysis Regulations Working Group
Overview
The Alkaline Hydrolysis Regulations Working Group was established in March 2025 to inform the development of the alkaline hydrolysis regulations being made under section 99 of The Burial and Cremation (Scotland) Act 2016.
The group’s remit will include reviewing the content of the draft regulations application forms and register, along with providing input to the impact assessments which will accompany the regulations.
The group is chaired by the Scottish Government.
