Catherine Corbett
Catherine Corbett became a non-executive director of the Scottish Government and Chair of the Scottish Government Audit and Assurance Committee in 2026.
Catherine holds over 30 years of senior financial leadership experience across the professional services, legal and third sectors.
Her executive career included roles as Chief Financial Officer at Deloitte Ireland and Head of Finance at EY. She is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and brings expertise in:
- sustainability
- corporate transformation
- cyber sercurity
- risk management
- governance
She chairs the audit committees at Zero Waste Scotland and the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. She also serves as a board member of Fáilte Ireland, Ireland's national tourism development authority, and An Garda Síochána, the national police and security service. Previously, she served as Chair of the Board and Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Commitee of the National Children's Hospital Foundation.
