This report provided an update on the progress that Scotland has made against the 51 Commitments set out in the UK Strategy for Rare Disease.
The Strategy forms the basis of work across the four countries of the UK to improve services,
support patients and promote the role of research for those living with a rare disease.
There has been significant progress in a number of areas, including the rapid advancement in genomics which has the potential to revolutionise healthcare, and the introduction of person centred policies, strategies and frameworks.
There is an acknowledgement of the work still left to do in order to meet the deadline of 2020.
