Wheat yield and production remain high despite small decreases

In 2023 wheat yield was 9.2 tonnes per hectare. Wheat production was 985 thousand tonnes.

Wheat yield and production decreased, by 2% and 1% respectively, compared to 2022. Yet figures for yield and production remain higher than the ten-year averages (8.6 tonnes per hectare and 912 thousand tonnes, respectively).
