Large decrease in oat area driving decrease in production

In 2022 oats yield was 6.3 tonnes per hectare. Oats production was 0.2 million tonnes.

Total area of oats decreased by 20% in 2022, to levels below the ten-year average. Despite a 13% increase in yield, production fell by 9% compared to 2021.
