Information request and response under the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004.
Information requested
I require all VMS data of vessels that transited through the following area between 15th September 2022 12:00 and 16th September 2022 06:00.
P1 60°57.0' N, 002°18.0' W
P2 60°57.0' N, 003°48.0' W
P3 60°15.0' N, 002°18.0' W
P4 60°15.0' N, 003°48.0' W
Please provide details of the VMS reports received from vessels during the specified period in the specified area. The data supplied should show the Date and time of report, A unique Vessel identification (but not the vessel name) Latitude, Longitude, Course and Speed. Provided as an excel workbook please.

I enclose a copy of all the information you requested in the format you asked for, that is, an excel workbook. Random vessel identifiers have been allocated as requested.
The vessel monitoring system (VMS) is a mandatory requirement for UK and third country fishing vessels over 12m overall ength. Other vessels may transmit VMS data including marine protection vessels, research vessels, fish carriers, and aquaculture vessels.
