Proposed domestic homicide and suicide review model: phase two/workshop one report

Report of the phase two, part one of the testing of the proposed domestic homicide and suicide review model for Scotland. The testing event focused on the establishing of a domestic homicide and suicide review. The report summarises the strengths, limitations and gaps of this part of the model.


5. Next steps

The report will be shared with the Domestic Homicide and Suicide Review Taskforce and other relevant stakeholders once published. The report represents one source of information to inform further developments of the DHSR model. The report will be published as part of the evidence base approach being taken by the Scottish Government in the development of the DHSR model for Scotland.

This workshop represents Phase 2, Workshop 1 of a three phase process, led by the Scottish Government in collaboration with AAFDA and other experts, aimed at supporting the development of a robust delivery model for DHSRs and within which, phases 2 and 3 will incorporate:

  • two further workshops focussing on a more detailed review of different aspects of the model with expert input;
  • a mock DHSR to test out the model in practice.
