Supporting Children and Young People Experiencing a Mental Health Crisis - easy read version
This Framework provides the principles of what cohesive and effective support for children and young people experiencing a mental health crisis should look like across Scotland.
About this document
This document sets out our ideas for what good support should be like for children and young people who are having a mental health crisis. This means anyone aged between 12 and 18 years old.
We know there are gaps in crisis support. Working with other people and organisations to make a good plan will help to fill those gaps.
The plan will be a guide for staff so they can give the best support when a child or young person is experiencing a mental health crisis.
This document does not mean extra duties for services. It sets out the best way to use GIRFEC as a guide when children and young people have a mental health crisis.
