12. A few participants misunderstood the proposals relating to the earnings threshold to involve a cap on weekly hours worked. This proposal is not intended to do that. However, a few mentioned that the proposal should not include a fixed number of weekly working hours because that change would adversely affect carers who have their weekly working hours changing frequently.
