Action 5.1 - Establish a task and finish group of stakeholders to undertake a broad review of the current policy framework

Ongoing *

FMS established the task and finish group with representatives from the Atlantic Salmon Trust, the Scottish Government and a number of river-interest representatives and it met four times in 2024. It established its purpose and objectives, agreed on a framework for a recommendations paper, and initiated preparatory research, including Scottish case studies, international examples of resourcing local management, and future options for application in Scotland.
