1. Specific points to note for the 2025 survey

Responses: Orkney Islands was unable to submit a return in 2023-2025 and results from 2022 have been rolled forward. Clackmannanshire, Falkirk, Inverclyde and West Lothian did not submit a return and results from 2024 were rolled forward.

Revisions: From 2025, historical data is no longer revised. Not all authorities update their historical data, so revisions were increasing inconsistencies in the data.

Proximity analysis: The proximity analysis estimates for 2024 and 2025 (as reported in table 9 and 10 accompanying this publication) have not be calculated using the full method as set out in the methodology section at the end of this publication. Instead, they take the differences between the 2022 and 2023 estimates (which were based on the full method) and cast these forwards to estimate 2024 and 2025. This has been done because we are currently reviewing the full methodology.
