Scottish seabird conservation action plan: government response to the consultation

Conclusion

The Scottish Government has considered all views from the consultation and has made some changes to the action plan to reflect these views. The Scottish Seabird Conservation Action Plan will be published in summer 2025.

Next steps

The Seabird Delivery Partnership once established in January 2026 will oversee progress and will publish a report annually. Through this process, the list of actions will be subject to ongoing review and adjustment to take account of emerging scientific evidence and other factors. The action plan will cover the period to 2045 with a ministerial interim report published in 2035.
