Scottish School Milk Subsidy Scheme - Equality Impact Assessment Results

Equality Impact Assessment results relating to the Scottish School Milk Subsidy Scheme

Key Findings

Working through the Equality Impact Assessment has shown that the new Scottish School Milk Subsidy Scheme may have a positive impact on gypsy/traveller children who move schools and/or children with a disability and/or children of a particular religion or belief as, in contrast to the previous UK scheme, the new scheme will permit funding to be used to expand provision of milk to eligible children and young people across Scotland and provide products to meet the needs of a wider range of children’s dietary needs. No negative impact is anticipated on any group.
