This report is based on the returns of an annual survey questionnaire sent to all active authorised fish farming businesses in Scotland during 2024. Statistics on employment, production and value are presented.

How was the data collected
The data from this report has been collected via a questionnaire sent out to all authorised active fish production businesses (Supplementary Questionnaire Documentation).
Quality Assurance
Reported data are verified against a series of checks. Where necessary, the data are referred back to the person completeing the questionnaire for clarification. The information published is the summation of the reported data. Return rates of the survey forms is 100%.
