Scotland's Population Health Framework: Fairer Scotland Duty
A Fairer Scotland Duty Assessment (FSDA) for the Population Health Framework.
Stage 4 – decision
The proposed PHF has the potential to deliver significant positive impacts particularly for people facing socioeconomic disadvantage. By prioritising early intervention and focusing upon reducing life expectancy differences between the most and least deprived communities this can make a meaningful difference in communities where needs are greatest. A focus on cross-sector collaboration will help ensure that interconnected factors like income, education, employment are addressed together.
While the high-level nature of the Framework means it is not yet possible to assess the full impact of each individual action, further impact assessments will be conducted as required as actions are developed and implemented. This will ensure they are appropriately targeted to those most in need.
