In the year ending June 2023 compared to the previous year, the biggest drivers of Scotland’s increase in the value of goods exports to non-EU countries were growth in exports of drinks (up £669 million, 20.4%) and power generating machinery and equipment (up £578 million, 33.9%), which were the top two exported products during this period. There was a decrease in exports of non-ferrous metals (down £363 million, 47.1%) and oil (down £449 million, 56.7%) over this period. Non-ferrous metals was the only one of the top ten exported goods to non-EU countries to experience a decrease over this period.
