Easy read version of our plan to help people understand climate change and harm to nature means for their lives.
How we will make the plan work
We will support different groups to work together and to reach out to people across Scotland.
Different activities will be used to get people involved from all walks of life.
Activities
We, and our partners, will:
- share information in a way that people can understand
- share the reasons for the decisions we have made
- hold online and in person conversations
- make activities accessible to all, including supporting children and young people to be involved
Trusted groups
It is important to work with people and groups that people trust.
These groups can help share information about climate change and nature with the people they work with.
These might be:
- community groups and leaders
- charities and voluntary groups
- faith groups
- public bodies
- businesses
- youth groups
- professional bodies
- groups that work in nature and climate
Public bodies are groups that run services, like councils, schools and the NHS.
Local action
The plan will help people to act on climate change and nature in their local area.
We know that every community is different and that local people have knowledge and ideas on how it could be improved.
Make it easy for people to take action
The plan will link climate change and nature to things people care about. Like:
- cost of living
- health and wellbeing
- jobs and work
- local area
- community
